The Toronto Blue Jays are making some changes to the lineup for Saturday's game against the Tampa Bay Rays.
Daniel Vogelbach, Ernie Clement and Brian Serven get into the lineup for the first time this season behind Yusei Kikuchi.
Vogelbach will come into the lineup as the designated hitter in the clean-up in Justin Turner's place. The 31-year-old hit .243/.349/.541 with three home runs and five RBI in 14 games during spring training.
Serven will get his first start behind the plate with Alejandro Kirk getting the day off after starting the first two games of the season. The Blue Jays added Serven to the roster after Danny Jansen fractured the pisiform in his right wrist during spring.
Clement will play at third base and hit sixth in the lineup taking Isiah Kiner-Falefa's place in the lineup. The 28-year-old hit .362/.388/.638 wth three home runs and eight RBI in 17 games during spring training.
Toronto is looking to rebound from an 8-2 loss to the Rays after committing three errors.
Kikuchi will try to get the team back in the win column and will look to replicate his success from last season when he went 11-6 with a 3.86 ERA over 32 starts.
The Blue Jays take on the Rays in the third game of their season-opening series with first pitch scheduled for 4:10 p.m. ET/1:10 p.m. PT on Sportsnet and Sportsnet+.
