Chad Dallas' first MLB stint was short-lived.
The right-handed pitcher was optioned to triple-A Buffalo, the Toronto Blue Jays announced on Friday. In a subsequent move, righty Simeon Woods Richardson has reported to the Blue Jays and will be active for Friday's series opener against the Baltimore Orioles.
Woods Richardson was acquired from the Minnesota Twins on Wednesday in exchange for cash considerations.
He joins the Blue Jays after making 10 starts for the Twins this season, posting a 7.74 ERA over 47.2 innings. The 25-year-old holds a 4.76 ERA in 65 MLB games over five seasons.
As for Dallas, the 25-year-old heads back to the Bisons after making his MLB debut on Thursday in the Blue Jays' 7-2 win over the Atlanta Braves. He pitched 3.2 innings, allowing one earned run on two hits and two walks en route to picking his first MLB win.
