Toronto Blue Jays star prospect Trey Yesavage will get the chance to shine at the All-Star Futures Game.
Yesavage was named Monday to the American League squad that will take the field July 12 at Atlanta's Truist Park.
MLB, in conjunction with MLB Pipeline, Baseball America and the 30 MLB teams, picked the 25 players for both teams.
Yesavage is the lone representative from the Blue Jays on the AL roster.
The 21-year-old right-hander from Pottstown, Pa., was drafted in the first round, 20th overall, by the Blue Jays in 2024.
He was promoted to double-A New Hampshire earlier this month after four starts with high-A Vancouver and seven starts with low-A Dunedin.
The East Carolina University product has a 5-1 record and 2.45 ERA over 62.1 innings across all minor-league competition. His 104 strikeouts are second on the minor-league leaderboard to Canadian Jonah Tong's 115.
Yesavage is ranked No. 63 on MLB Pipeline's top 100 baseball prospects list and second among Blue Jays prospects behind infielder Arjun Nimmala (No. 51 overall).
Two Canadians were named to the National League roster: Tong of Markham, Ont., and outfielder Owen Caissie of Burlington, Ont.
Tong, 22, is a New York Mets prospect with double-A Binghamton and combined with reliever TJ Shook to pitch a perfect game in May.
Caissie, 22, is a member of the Chicago Cubs organization with triple-A Iowa and played for Canada in the 2023 World Baseball Classic.
Tong is No. 92 on MLB Pipeline's top 100 baseball prospects list, while Caissie is ranked No. 42.
