Another arm to help the Toronto Blue Jays is nearing a return.
Right-handed pitcher Bowden Francis pitched two solid innings for triple-A Buffalo on Tuesday, allowing one hit in two innings while striking out four.
It was his first game action since being placed on the injured list with "Right Forearm Extensor Tendinitis" on April 25.
Francis opened the season as the fifth starter in the Blue Jays rotation but struggled in two starts and was moved to the bullpen. In five total MLB appearances this season, Francis has an 8.59 ERA with 17 strikeouts.
