Braves Game 1 starter Charlie Morton exits with right ankle injury

Atlanta Braves starting pitcher Charlie Morton exited Game 1 of the World Series with an apparent ankle injury. Houston Astros first baseman Yuli Gurriel delivered a hard hit ball that landed on Morton's right ankle on Tuesday.

The Braves pitcher limped off the field. According to The Athletic's Ken Rosenthal, Morton's ankle began to experience swelling, preventing him from staying in the game.

Morton went 2.1 innings, giving up just one hit, zero earned runs and recording three strikeouts.
