Blake Snell could have the World Series in his hands.
The Los Angeles Dodgers left-hander will start Game 5 on Wednesday against the Toronto Blue Jays, the team announced on Tuesday.
Toronto is expected to name its starter later in the day.
Snell, 32, was roughed up in a Game 1 loss to the Blue Jays at Rogers Centre when he allowed five runs on eight hits and three walks over five innings.
However, he had been dominant in three previous post-season starts, combining for 21 innings, just two runs and 27 strikeouts.

With the Dodgers leading the series 2-1 following their 6-5 victory in Monday's 18-inning Game 3 marathon, one more win would mean Los Angeles could clinch its second straight title at home in Game 5.
For the season, Snell posted a 5-4 record with a 2.35 ERA and 1.255 WHIP over 11 starts.
Rookie Trey Yesavage, who started Game 1 for the Blue Jays, would appear to be the likely choice for Game 5 for Toronto.
Yesavage battled through four innings in his World Series debut, limiting the Dodgers to two runs despite not having his best stuff.
Live coverage throughout the World Series is available on Sportsnet and Sportsnet+, with first pitch for each game set for 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT.
