Buddy Kennedy has found his next landing spot.
The former Toronto Blue Jays infielder has been claimed by the Los Angeles Dodgers, the NL squad announced on Friday.
Kennedy, 26, made two big-league appearances with Toronto this year. He logged one hit in five at-bats before the Blue Jays designated Kennedy for assignment on Tuesday.
The right-handed batter signed with the Blue Jays in July after starting the season with the Philadelphia Phillies.
Kennedy was selected by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the fifth round of the 2017 draft and eventually made his major-league debut in 2022. He's since split four MLB seasons with the Diamondbacks, Detroit Tigers, Philadelphia Phillies and Blue Jays.
He's batting .193 for his career with two home runs and 19 RBI. In 681 minor-league games, Kennedy has posted 66 homers and 345 RBI.
Meanwhile, the Dodgers made a pair of other moves on Friday. L.A. placed infielder Max Muncy on the injured list due to an oblique strain and then designated right-hander Julian Fernández for assignment in order to make room for Kennedy on the 40-man roster.
