Already dealing with a handful of injuries to their roster, the Los Angeles Dodgers will be hoping for the best for one of their biggest bats.
First baseman Freddie Freeman exited Wednesday's game against the Chicago Cubs in the fifth inning with an apparent injury.
Freeman had previously taken an at-bat in the top of the fifth inning and appeared to wince after a check swing and looked at his wrist in pain. However, the team did not make an official announcement as to the status and severity of the injury.
He was replaced at first base by Enrique Hernandez in the bottom half of the inning.
Before being replaced, Freeman had one hit in three at-bats.
The 36-year-old has put together another steady season for the Dodgers, batting .310 with an .871 OPS, along with 15 home runs and 54 RBIs heading into Wednesday's action. He has only missed three games this year.
