Jack Flaherty isn't going anywhere.
The Detroit Tigers announced Tuesday that the right-hander has exercised his $20-million player option to remain with the team for the 2026 season.
Had he declined his player option, he would've entered free agency.
Flaherty, 30, had a 4.64 ERA and 1.28 WHIP in 31 games and 161 innings pitched in 2025, striking out 188 batters and walking 59.
Next season will mark Flaherty's third in Detroit. He has previously played for the St. Louis Cardinals, Baltimore Orioles and Los Angeles Dodgers.
He won the World Series with the Dodgers in 2024 after being traded at the deadline.
