Take a bow, Canada.
By defeating Cuba in the final game of pool play, Canada earned a World Baseball Classic quarterfinal berth for the first time in tournament history.
And in doing so, they also dashed the dreams of Cuba, who will miss the tournament's knockout round for the first time.
The win, in addition to Tuesday's victory against Puerto Rico, catapults Canada to the top of Pool A.
Canada will now play the United States, who finished second in Pool B, on Friday night in Houston (8 p.m. ET/ 5 p.m. PT on Sportsnet and Sportsnet+).
Here are some of the best reactions from around the sports world on Canada's historic victory.
