Lourdes Gurriel Jr. scheduled to return for Blue Jays against Orioles

Lourdes Gurriel Jr. is scheduled to return to the Toronto Blue Jays lineup as a designated hitter for the team's critical game against the visiting Baltimore Orioles on Saturday.

However, manager Charlie Montoyo says a final decision will will be made after Gurriel takes batting practice.

Gurriel returned from a hand injury on Tuesday, but went a combined 0-for-8 in two games and stayed on the bench for the past two contests.

Prior to the injury, he recorded a batting average of .364 in September, along with 30 RBIs, tying Kelly Gruber for the most in the month in franchise history.

Randal Grichuk takes Corey Dickerson's spot in the lineup and bats ninth.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. returns to first base after serving as DH on Friday in a 6-4 win over Baltimore.

Danny Janssen will catch for the second game in a row after opening the scoring with a two-run home run on Friday.

Cavan Biggio, who played first and went 3-for-4, and Dickerson, who was 2-for-4, are available off the bench.
