The New York Mets have claimed infielder Gosuke Katoh off waivers from the Toronto Blue Jays on Saturday.
Katoh was waived by the Blue Jays on Wednesday after he was designated for assignment last Sunday.
The 27-year-old played in eight games for the Blue Jays with 11 plate appearances, batting .143/.400/.286.
