MLB and the MLBPA announced Friday that there have been 10 positive COVID-19 results, three players and seven staff, among 10,629 tests in the past week.

The results amount to a positivity rate of 0.09 per cent.

The league and union say that to date there have been 54 positive results (30 players and 24 staff members) across 22 different clubs after 156,276 tests.

Meanwhile, 12 teams have seen their threshold of players and staff who are fully vaccinated reach 85 per cent, which, in consultation with medical expects, allows for the relaxation of certain health and safety protocols.

An additional four clubs have reached the same mark and will also see their restrictions relax once they are considered "fully vaccinated" in the next two weeks.

As of Friday, 83.9 per cent of players and staff in the league are considered considered partially or fully vaccinated, while 77.6 per cent have received both doses.
