MLB has announced its post-season schedule on Sunday, with a wild-card matchup between the division rival New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox getting top billing.
The Yankees and Red Sox will play in the 8 p.m. ET primetime slot for Games 1 and 2 of their three-game series. The first two games of all four wild-card series will be played on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the San Diego Padres will host the Chicago Cubs for the 10 p.m. time slot.
The earlier matchups were still to be decided entering the day. But after Sunday's results, the Houston Astros will host the Chicago White Sox after winning the AL West, and the NL East-winning Atlanta Braves are also set to host the Philadelphia Phillies after the Phillies beat the Rays on Sunday to clinch the third wild-card spot.
The Tampa Bay Rays and Cleveland Guardians got first-round byes to the American League Division Series, and the Milwaukee Brewers and Los Angeles Dodgers will automatically advance to the NLDS. The entire MLB post-season will be available to watch on Sportsnet.
