Sony's MLB The Show 23 video game will pay tribute to the Negro Leagues for the first time in franchise history.
San Diego Studios, developer of the series, partnered with the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum and unveiled the special game mode "Storylines: The Negro Leagues" on Monday.
Gamers will be able to play as historic players from the Negro Leagues and follow their journey featuring career highlights and video clips.
Eight Negro Leagues players will be available to choose from at launch with more expected to be added. The season one roster includes Martín Dihigo, John Donaldson, Rube Foster, Buck O'Neil, Satchel Paige, Jackie Robinson, Hilton Smith and Hank Thompson.
MLB The Show 23 drops March 23 on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch.
