DENVER — Max Muncy homered twice, Tyler Glasnow allowed two hits in seven innings and Los Angeles rolled to a win over Colorado in frigid conditions.
The Colorado grounds crew had to clear 3 inches of snow from the Coors Field playing surface before the game, which began with temperatures at 36 degrees Fahrenheit (2 Celsius). But the chilly air didn’t cool down the major league-best Dodgers (15-4), who have won 11 of 14.
Shohei Ohtani went 2 for 5 in his return to the Dodgers’ lineup, extending his career-best on-base streak to 49 games. The two-way superstar pitched but did not bat in Wednesday’s victory over the New York Mets because he was still sore from getting hit by a pitch on Monday.
Muncy leads the Dodgers with six homers. He went 3 for 4 with a double and drove in three runs in his 21st career multi-homer game. The veteran third baseman entered the game in a 1-for-17 slump.
Will Smith had two hits and two RBIs for Los Angeles, which scored at least one run in each of the first five innings.

PHILADELPHIA — Austin Riley hit a three-run homer in the second inning and a solo shot in the ninth, Martin Perez pitched six innings and the Atlanta Braves’ routed the Philadelphia Phillies 9-0 on Friday night.
Dominic Smith and Michael Harris II also homered to help NL East-leading Atlanta improve to 13-7 with its third straight victory.
Perez (1-1) was designated for assignment Sunday then signed a minor league deal Wednesday. He limited the Phillies to four hits, and José Suarez gave up two hits in the final three innings in picking up his first save.
Phillies starter Taijuan Walker (1-3) allowed seven runs in four innings.
The Braves loaded the bases in the first on leadoff hitter Ronald Acuna Jr.’s walk, Drake Baldwin’s single and Matt Olson’s walk. Ozzie Albies drove in Acuna with a groundout, and Mike Yastrzemski had an infield single off Walker’s leg to make it 2-0.
Olson had an RBI single in the second, and Walker upped it to 6-0 with two outs with his three-run shot to right-centre.
CUBS 12, METS 4
CHICAGO — Moisés Ballesteros, Nico Hoerner and Ian Happ homered, and Chicago handed New York its ninth straight loss.
The Mets’ skid is their worst since the 2004 team dropped 11 straight. They’ve been outscored 56-16 during the streak.
Chicago scored in double digits for the third straight game and major league-leading fourth time this season.
Ballesteros made it 4-0 in the first with a three-run homer.
Hoerner had three hits and drove in two runs after setting a career high with five RBIs in Wednesday’s 11-2 win at Philadelphia. His two-run shot in the second against Kodai Senga (0-3) made it 6-3. The two-time Gold Glove second baseman also made a diving stop to rob Bo Bichette of a hit in the fifth.
Happ added a two-run drive in the eighth.
Edward Cabrera (2-0) went six innings, allowing three runs and eight hits, as the Cubs rolled to their third straight win.
Senga got tagged for seven runs in his second straight start.
ORIOLES 6, GUARDIANS 4
CLEVELAND — Jeremiah Jackson’s three-run homer capped Baltimore’s six-run outburst in the eighth inning against Cleveland’s bullpen, sending the Orioles to a win.
The Orioles’ rally came after Daniel Schneemann hit a grand slam to give Cleveland a 4-0 lead in the seventh.
But Guardians’ reliever Scott Armstrong couldn’t get an out, giving up two walks and hitting a batter before being pulled. Johnathan Rodríguez’s sacrifice fly off Erik Sabrowski (0-1) made it 4-1 and pinch hitter Weston Wilson roped a two-run double to get the Orioles within one.
Sabrowski struck out Coby Mayo before giving way for Connor Brogdon to face Jackson, whose fielding error at second helped set up Cleveland’ four-run seventh. Jackson then pulled a 1-0 fastball over the wall in left for his fifth homer.
Rico Garcia (2-0) pitched a perfect eighth for the win. Ryan Helsley worked the ninth for his sixth save.
GIANTS 10, NATIONALS 5
WASHINGTON — Heliot Ramos hit a three-run homer, Logan Webb pitched six solid innings and San Francisco beat Washington.

Marcell Ozuna and Spencer Horwitz each had three hits.
Ozuna led off the second inning with a single and opened the scoring when Horwitz doubled. Konnor Griffin followed with a single, but left fielder Chandler Simpson’s throw home, though off line, gave catcher Nick Fortes enough time to apply the tag as Horwitz tried to score from second.
The Pirates have outscored their opponents 23-1 in the second inning this season, the best run differential in any inning by an MLB team this season. Pittsburgh’s best run differential during any inning in 2025 was a plus-19 (71-52), also in the second inning.
Rays starter Nick Martinez (0-1), who went winless with a 2.41 ERA in his first four starts this season, gave up two runs in 5 1/3 innings. He allowed eight hits, walked three and had three strikeouts.

HOUSTON — Nolan Gorman hit a three-run home run and Iván Herrera added a two-run shot to lead St. Louis to a victory over Houston.
The Cardinals led by a run with one out in the seventh when Alec Burleson doubled off Bryan Abreu, and Jordan Walker walked. Gorman sent a fastball from Abreu into the seats in right field to make it 7-3.
Herrera, who had three RBIs, connected off J.P. France with two outs in the eighth.
Masyn Winn drove in two runs and Walker extended his hitting streak to 12 games for the Cardinals, who extended their winning streak to three games.
Christian Vázquez, Yordan Alvarez and Jose Altuve all hit solo homers for Houston, but the Astros weren’t able to get much else going offensively as they lost for the 10th time in 12 games.
The home run by Alvarez is his eighth this season, moving him into a tie for most in the majors with Walker and Aaron Judge.
