Tampa Bay Rays manager Kevin Cash has been named the American League manager of the year.
Cash was named the top manager in the American League for the second straight year, finishing ahead of Seattle Mariners’ Scott Servais and Houston Astros’ Dusty Baker with 19 of the 30 first-place votes.
The 43-year-old helped the Rays overcome a 13-15 start to win the AL East with a 100-62 record which set a new franchise record for wins in a season.
