Boston Red Sox all-star third baseman Rafael Devers has been reinstated from the 10-day Injured List and will start against the Houston Astros on Tuesday night.
Devers, 25, was placed on the 10-Day Injured List on Jul. 23 with right hamstring inflammation.
The left-handed hitter ranks among the American League’s top 10 in batting average (second, .324), OPS (third, .981), home runs (T-eighth, 22), hits (T-fifth, 113), and runs scored (T-fourth, 62).
The Red Sox won the first of their three-game set against the Astros on Monday, defeating Houston in a close 3-2 game.
