After making a late-deadline day splash by reuniting with Carlos Correa, the Houston Astros aren't quite done adding.
The Astros are acquiring outfielder Jesús Sánchez from the Miami Marlins for Ryan Gusto and prospects Chase Jaworskym and Esmil Valencia, the teams announced Thursday.
The 27-year-old is slashing .256/.320/.420 with 10 home runs and 36 RBIs in 305 plate appearances.
Sánchez has spent his entire five-season career in Miami, making his major-league debut in August 2020.
He has a career slashline of .240/.310/.426 with 69 home runs in 1,719 at-bats with the Marlins.
Right-hander pitcher Ryan Gusto, shortstops Chase Jaworsky and outfielder Esmil Valencia will head to Miami as the return.
