The Athletics have signed right-handed pitcher Luis Severino to a three-year, $67-million contract, ESPN's Jeff Passan reported Thursday.
The deal marks the largest guarantee given out in Athletics' franchise history and includes an opt-out after the second year.
Severino started 31 games for the New York Mets during the 2024 season, registering an 11-7 record with a 3.91 ERA and 161 strikeouts.
The 30-year-old joins the Athletics after one year with the Mets and eight with the New York Yankees before that.
The Athletics, who officially dropped Oakland from their name earlier in the off-season, will be playing at Sacramento's Sutter Health Park for three seasons while a new ballpark in Las Vegas is built.
