The Toronto Blue Jays are among the teams speaking with the Philadelphia Phillies about a possible trade involving shortstop Jean Segura, according to Robert Murray of FanSided.

Segura's name has come up in trade talks recently, according to Jon Heyman of MLB Network, having joined the Phillies from the Seattle Mariners via trade prior to the 2019 campaign.

The Jays, who are looking to bolster their infield, have been linked to several names throughout the off-season, from DJ LeMahieu to Kolten Wong, among others.

Segura, 30, batted .266/.347/.422 with seven home runs and 25 RBI in 54 games with the Phillies this past season.

Segura has two years remaining on his five-year, $70-million contract, which includes a team option for 2023 that would carry a base salary of $17 million.
