While the Toronto Blue Jays have checked in with the Chicago Cubs about Kris Bryant's situation, the two teams haven't had active talks about the infielder in recent weeks, according to Jon Morosi of MLB Network.

Bryant, whose name has been circulated in recent trade rumours, batted .206/.293/.351 with four home runs and 11 RBI in 34 games with the Cubs last season.

The Blue Jays, meanwhile, have been linked to several marquee players this off-season, including free agent DJ LeMahieu, who will reportedly have a virtual meeting with Toronto – among other clubs – this week.
