Danny Jansen is on the move yet again.
The Texas Rangers agreed to a two-year, $14.5-million contract with Jansen on Friday, according to Fansided's Robert Murray.
Murray added that Jansen can earn an extra $1 million through bonuses.
It will be the fifth stop in the past three years for Jansen, who split 2025 between the Tampa Bay Rays and Milwaukee Brewers. In 98 games, the 30-year-old backstop slashed .215/.321/.399 with 14 home runs and 36 RBIs.
Jansen will step into a void left by Jonah Heim, who was non-tendered earlier this off-season by the Rangers. He figures to share Texas's catching duties with veteran Kyle Higashioka.
Jansen spent the first six-and-a-half years of his career with the Toronto Blue Jays before being dealt to the Boston Red Sox at the 2024 trade deadline.
Over his eight-year career, Jansen owns a .726 OPS and 88 home runs.
It wasn't the only business the Rangers got done on Friday, though.
According to ESPN's Jeff Passan, Texas also agreed to one-year deals with relievers Alexis Díaz and Tyler Alexander.
Díaz, 29, pitched with three MLB teams in 2025, posting an 8.15 ERA over 17.2 innings split between Cincinnati, the Los Angeles Dodgers and Atlanta.
Formerly a top closer in baseball, the Rangers will hope to get Díaz back to the form that saw him collect 47 saves and carry a 2.45 ERA through his first two MLB seasons.
Alexander, meanwhile, posted a 4.98 ERA over 97.2 innings with Milwaukee and the Chicago White Sox in 2025. The 31-year-old southpaw had previously pitched with Detroit and Tampa Bay, serving as both a starter and reliever.
