A member of the 2025 Toronto Blue Jays bullpen has found a new home.
Right-hander Nick Sandlin signed a minor-league deal with the Los Angeles Angels, Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register reported on Monday.
Sandlin, 28, cleared waivers and elected free agency in November.
Acquired in the deal with the Cleveland Guardians that also brought Andres Gimenez to Toronto, Sandlin made 19 appearances for the Blue Jays, posting a 2.20 ERA through 16.1 innings of relief.
It was an injury-plagued campaign for the righty, who missed time due to inflammation in his throwing arm.
He did not make an appearance during Toronto's post-season run to the World Series.
Sandlin was drafted by the Guardians in 2018, taken in the second round. Through 211.2 innings over 228 appearances in the majors, Sandlin holds a 3.19 ERA and a 19-10 record.
