Free agent outfielder Joc Pederson and the Chicago Cubs have agreed to a deal pending a physical, The Athletic's Ken Rosenthal reported Friday.
Pederson, 28, slashed .190/.285/.397 in 43 games last season, posting a career-low 84 OPS+ in his sixth full season (he actually debuted in 2014, but had only 38 plate appearances).
He was a high school draftee selected by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 11th round in 2010 out of Palo Alto, Calif., and wrapped up his L.A. tenure with a World Series title this past fall.
Pederson owns an .852 career OPS in 64 postseason games.
