Kyle Hendricks has decided to hang up his cleats, according to Maddie Lee of the Chicago Sun-Times.
The 35-year-old Hendricks pitched 11 seasons for the Chicago Cubs before finishing his career with the Los Angeles Angels this past year. He went 8-10 with a 4.76 ERA in 2025.
Drafted in the eighth round by the Cubs in 2011, Hendricks joined the big club in 2014.
Hendricks was the MLB ERA leader in 2016, the year his Cubs won their first World Series in 108 years. That season, he finished third in National League Cy Young award voting.
Hendricks finishes with 105 wins against 91 losses, posting a career ERA of 3.79.
