The Pittsburgh Pirates are acquiring outfielder Bryan De La Cruz from the Miami Marlins, the teams announced Tuesday.
The Marlins will receive infielder/outfielder Garrett Forrester and pitcher Jun-Seok Shim from the Pirates as part of the trade.
De La Cruz has recorded a .245/.289/.417 slash line with 18 home runs and 51 RBIs in 105 appearances this season.
The Pirates hold a 54-52 record heading into Tuesday's slate of games and currently tied for second place in the NL Central Division.
