Michael King is staying put.
The right-hander has signed a three-year, $75 million deal with the San Diego Padres, ESPN's Jeff Passan reported on Thursday.
King made just 15 starts with the San Diego Padres last season after dealing with shoulder and knee ailments. He had a 5-3 record and posted a 3.44 ERA.
The Rochester, N.Y., native began his MLB career with the New York Yankees in 2019. After the 2023 campaign, he was traded to the Padres as part of the Juan Soto blockbuster trade.
In his first full year in San Diego, King was converted to a starter, where he excelled in his first season. He posted a 13-9 record with a 2.95 ERA and 201 strikeouts in 173.2 innings, which was strong enough to earn him a seventh-place finish in the National League Cy Young award race.
The 30-year-old owns a career 3.24 ERA, a 31-29 record and 559 strikeouts.
