The San Diego Padres are back in the trade market.
San Diego is finalizing a trade to acquire outfielder Ramon Laureano and first baseman Ryan O'Hearn from the Baltimore Orioles, the teams announced Thursday.
Baltimore will receive six prospects in return: Boston Bateman (LHP), Cobb Hightower (INF), Victor Figueroa (INF/OF), Tyson Neighbors (RHP), Brandon Butterworth (INF) and Tanner Smith (RHP).
Laureano is in the midst of a resurgent season for the Orioles, batting .290 with 15 home runs.
The 31-year-old is in his eighth MLB season, having previously spent time with the Athletics, Guardians and Braves.

Laureano joined Baltimore on a two-year, $4-million deal in the off-season. The contract has a team option for 2026.
O’Hearn, meanwhile, has been one of the lone bright spots for the struggling Orioles squad this season, batting .283 with 13 home runs, 43 RBIs and a .374 on-base percentage.
The Dunedin, Fla., native has played 82 games at first base in addition to DH and both corner outfield positions.
But Baltimore, despite high expectations, has faltered over the unofficial first half of the season, sitting in the AL East basement, forcing a switch to sell mode ahead of the trade deadline.
For his eight-year career with the Kansas City Royals and Orioles, O’Hearn has hit 80 home runs, and is batting .250 with a .319 OBP.
He is due to become a free agent after the season.
It was the second big swing of the day for the Padres, who landed star closer Mason Miller and starter JP Sears in a blockbuster trade with the Athletics.
