The Texas Rangers are adding versatility to their bullpen for a playoff push.
The team is acquiring left-handed reliever Danny Coulombe from the Minnesota Twins in exchange for LHP Garrett Horn, they announced Thursday.
The soft-throwing southpaw has pitched to a sparkling 1.16 ERA, striking out 31 and walking only nine over 31 innings with the Twins this season. He has allowed only four runs and no homers.
The 35-year-old adds another left-handed option to a Rangers bullpen that already has Robert Garcia, Jacob Latz and Hoby Milner pitching from the left side.
Coulombe has also pitched for the Los Angeles Dodgers, Baltimore Orioles and Athletics during his career.
The 11-year veteran throws a five-pitch mix: a sinker, sweeper, four-seam fastball, curveball and a cutter that grades out with a plus-seven run value per Statcast.
Horn, 22, was a sixth-round pick in 2024 and has posted a 2.92 ERA over nine starts with the Rangers' single-A and high-A affiliates.
