Cal Quantrill has reportedly found another home in his seventh MLB season.
The Port Hope, Ont., product agreed to a minor-league deal with the Texas Rangers on Tuesday, according to the Dallas Morning News' Evan Grant.
Quantrill became a free agent earlier this month when he was released by the Atlanta Braves after making two starts with the club.
In those two starts with the Braves, Quantrill allowed 12 runs and struck out three in eight innings of work.
Atlanta claimed Quantrill off waivers from the Miami Marlins in August.
Before joining the Braves, the 30-year-old made 24 starts for Miami, pitching to a 5.50 ERA with 82 strikeouts over 109.2 innings.
Grant reported that Texas signed veteran infielder Donovan Solano to a minor-league deal as well.
The Rangers are currently chasing down the final wild-card spot in the American League, entering play Tuesday 1.5 games back of the Seattle Mariners.
