The Boston Red Sox made another move to bolster their bullpen just before the end of Tuesday's MLB trade deadline.
Boston acquired right-handed reliever Luis Garcia from the Los Angeles Angels, the team announced.
In exchange for Garcia, the Angels received four minor leaguers from the Red Sox: OF Matthew Lugo, 1B Niko Kavadas, RHP Ryan Zeferjahn and RHP Yeferson Vargas.
It's the third arm that the Red Sox have added to their bullpen this week, as they also added relievers Lucas Sims and Yohan Ramirez.
Over 43.2 innings with the Angels this season, Garcia has a 3.71 ERA, four saves and 40 strikeouts.
The Red Sox sit one game out of the final wild-card sport in the American League entering Tuesday night's action.
