It didn't take long for Chase Burns' record-breaking bonus from Thursday to get matched.
The Colorado Rockies have signed No. 3 overall pick Charlie Condon to a matching $9.25 million bonus, ESPN's Jeff Passan reported on Friday.
Pittsburgh Pirates phenom Paul Skenes previously held the record at $9.2 million from last season.
Both Condon and Burns signed for more than first-overall pick Travis Bazzana, who signed a $8.95 million bonus earlier on Friday, according to Jim Callis.
Condon, 21, was one of the best hitters at the NCAA level last season with Georgia and put up ridiculous .433/.556/1.009 splits with 37 home runs and 78 RBIs.
Only in his (redshirt) sophomore year, the first baseman's 37 round-trippers led the college baseball field.
