Tommy Pham is heading back to Chicago.
The White Sox re-acquired the outfielder in a trade with the Philadelphia Phillies on Monday, ESPN's Jeff Passan reported.
Pham, who is expected to join the White Sox when rosters expand on Tuesday, was eligible to be traded since he was not on the Phillies' 40-man roster.
The 38-year-old has played just nine games this season, all with the New York Mets, going 0-for-13 with seven strikeouts and one walk. He has also spent time in the Baltimore Orioles organization.
Pham last played for the White Sox in 2024, when he appeared in 70 games for the club. Over his 1,250-game career, Pham is a .256/.344/.421 hitter with 149 home runs.
He hit .245/.330/.370 in 120 games for the Pittsburgh Pirates last season to go with 10 homers and 52 RBIs.
