The New York Mets have agreed to a deal with outfielder Kevin Pillar pending a physical, according to Andy Martino of the SNY Network.

MLB Network's Jon Heyman first reported that the two sides were in serious talks on a deal, and later added that Pillar's new contract will be creative in that it will guarantee $5 million over one year while potentially going up to $10 million over two.

Pillar joins the Mets after spending last season with the Colorado Rockies and Boston Red Sox slashing .308/.351/.451 with a home run and 13 RBI in 24 games. This will be Pillar's fourth different team since being traded from the Toronto Blue Jays to the San Francisco Giants back in 2019.
