Ryan Feltner's return to a major-league mound lasted just three innings.
The Colorado Rockies starter left Tuesday's game against the Toronto Blue Jays after being hit in the lower body by an Andrés Giménez comebacker with two outs in the bottom of the third.
Feltner stayed in the game and walked George Springer before getting Jesús Sànchez to ground out.
But when the Rockies took the field for the fourth, Juan Mejia had taken the ball.
Colorado later announced that Feltner was removed from the game with a right glute contusion.
The 29-year-old Feltner collected four strikeouts while allowing just one hit and one walk in his first start since April 28, 2025. He missed the bulk of the season due to back and shoulder injuries.
