In just his sixth career appearance, Trey Yesavage will have his team's fate in his hands.
The rookie will start Game 6 of the ALCS on Sunday for the Toronto Blue Jays, manager John Schneider announced on Friday.
Down 3-2 in the series after Friday's back-breaking Game 5 loss, the 22-year-old will be pitching to avoid elimination.

The right-hander struggled during his Game 2 start against the Mariners, coughing up five runs on four hits and three walks with three strikeouts.
It was a far cry from his post-season debut in Game 2 of the ALDS against the New York Yankees, when he impressed with 5.2 no-hit innings and 11 strikeouts to pick up the win.
In three regular-season starts, Yesavage held a 3.21 ERA over 14 innings while fanning 16 opponents.
