After a gutting loss on Monday night, the Toronto Blue Jays are hoping Spencer Miles can help turn their fortunes.
The right-hander will start for the Blue Jays on Tuesday against the San Francisco Giants (Sportsnet, Sportsnet+ at 9:45 p.m. ET), the team announced.
Miles, who joined the Blue Jays as a Rule 5 draft pick in December, was originally drafted by the Giants 136th overall in 2022.
Across 54.0 innings in 2026, Miles has a 2.83 ERA with 55 strikeouts, 17 walks and a 4-1 record.
This is Miles' first season in the big leagues after injuries, including recovery from Tommy John surgery, delayed his debut.
The Blue Jays are looking to bounce back after being thumped, 10-1, by the Giants in Monday's series-opener.
