PHILADELPHIA — Trea Turner hit two homers, including the 200th of his career, and drove in five runs, Bryce Harper and Brandon Marsh also went deep and the Philadelphia Phillies beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 10-7 on Monday.
NL All-Star starter Cristopher Sánchez (12-4) allowed three runs in 5 1/3 innings. He allowed seven hits while striking out seven and walking none.
Derek Hill added a solo homer for the Phillies, who trail NL East-leading Atlanta by three games.
Mookie Betts homered twice and had two singles for the MLB-leading Dodgers. Los Angeles has lost seven of its last eight games in Philadelphia.
Turner’s two-run, two-out shot in the second off Emmet Sheehan (4-7) put the Phillies in front 4-0. It was 4-1 with one out and runners on first and second in the sixth Sánchez was lifted for Orion Kerkering. Pinch-hitter Max Muncy doubled, pulling LA within 4-2. After an intentional walk to Shohei Ohtani loaded the bases, Turner couldn’t field Teoscar Hernández’s grounder, resulting in another Los Angeles run.
GUARDIANS 13, TWINS 4
CLEVELAND — Petey Halpin and Rhys Hoskins each went deep twice and Cleveland matched a franchise record for a home game by hitting seven home runs in a victory over Minnesota.
Bryan Rocchio, Travis Bazzana and Patrick Bailey also homered for Cleveland.
It was the sixth time in the franchise’s 125 seasons that Cleveland went deep at least seven times. Cleveland hit a franchise-best eight homers at Milwaukee on April 25, 1997, and at Seattle on July 16, 2004.
Cleveland also homered seven times at home on April 30, 2013, against Philadelphia.
Minnesota starter Joe Ryan (6-6) set a franchise record by allowing six homers. The All-Star right-hander gave up eight runs and a career-high 10 hits in four innings, raising his ERA from 2.85 to 3.38.
Cleveland’s Chase DeLauter had four hits and three RBIs. Bailey also had four hits. Halpin added three hits and three RBIs and Bazzana also had three hits.
YANKEES 8, PIRATES 5
NEW YORK — Jazz Chisholm Jr. homered in consecutive at-bats against All-Star Braxton Ashcraft and drove in five runs, powering New York to a victory over Pittsburgh.
Both benches and bullpens emptied after José Caballero bounced into an inning-ending double play against Pirates reliever Dennis Santana in the eighth. Santana became heated and started yelling at Caballero on the field. The right-hander was restrained by teammates Rafael Flores and Bryan Reynolds before order was restored after a few minutes without any punches or ejections.
On a night when New York squandered an early four-run cushion, Chisholm’s 10th career multihomer game and first since Sept. 2 last year helped the Yankees win for the third time in their last 12 home games.
RAYS 7, BLUE JAYS 1
TORONTO — Cedric Mullins, Victor Mesa Jr. and Nick Fortes hit solo homers, Nick Martinez pitched six innings of one-run ball and AL East-leading Tampa Bay beat struggling Toronto.
Junior Caminero had three hits and an RBI, Yandy Díaz had two hits and scored twice, and Jonathan Aranda added an RBI single as the Rays snapped a five-game losing streak.
Tampa Bay has gone 6-1 against Toronto this season.
Martinez (9-2) gave up one run and six hits, all singles, and extended his unbeaten streak to seven starts.
Cam Booser worked a 1-2-3 seventh, Casey Legumina handled the eighth and Bryan Baker finished for the Rays.
The Blue Jays made three errors in losing for the fifth time in six games. They’ve scored two runs in the past three games, all losses.
RED SOX 6, ORIOLES 5
BOSTON — Caleb Durbin hit a tiebreaking homer over the Green Monster with two outs in the eighth inning, and Boston extended the second-longest winning streak in club history to 14 games, beating Baltimore to snap the Orioles’ season-best win streak at seven.
The Red Sox would match a club record with a win Tuesday night. Boston won 15 straight in 1946 on a team led by future Hall of Famer Ted Williams.
Christian Encarnacion-Strand, recalled from Triple-A four days ago, homered and hit a run-scoring single for the Orioles, who committed four errors and allowed two unearned runs.
Durbin connected on a 1-0 cutter from Tyler Wells (2-2), setting off a celebration by teammates in front of Boston’s dugout.
Garrett Whitlock (5-1) worked a perfect eighth, and Aroldis Chapman picked up his 22nd save when Tyler O’Neill lined to short with runners on second and third to end it.
BRAVES 3, PADRES 2
ATLANTA — Bryce Elder pitched six strong innings, providing needed rest for an overworked bullpen and leading Atlanta to a victory over San Diego in the opener of a four-game home series.
Michael Harris II and Ozzie Albies homered for the Braves, who used 13 pitchers over the weekend. But Elder (6-6) limited San Diego to two runs — both on homers — and five hits with four strikeouts and a walk.
Atlanta’s second win over the Padres since the start of the 2025 season started on quiet note. JP Spears (2-3) pitched four shutout innings before Harris homered to right field in the bottom of the fifth, tying the game at 1.
Braves center fielder Joey Bart then drove Mauricio Dubón home with a double, giving Atlanta a 2-1 lead.
Albies hit his 15th homer of the season in the sixth, snapping a 36-inning homer-less streak for Padres lefty Wandy Peralta.
Danny Young replaced Elder in the seventh after Ty France homered to cut Atlanta’s lead to 3-2. Victor Mederos pitched the final 2 1/3 innings for the Braves and recorded his first career save.
ROYALS 4, GIANTS 3
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Nick Loftin’s squeeze bunt with one out in the ninth inning scored Josh Rojas to give Kansas City a victory over San Francisco.
Rojas hit a single to lead off the inning, advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt by Tyler Tolbert and then went to third on Carter Jensen’s lineout. Loftin then bunted toward first base and Rojas scored easily when Bryce Eldridge didn’t field the ball cleanly.
Loftin, who entered after starting shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. left the game in the fifth inning with lower back tightness, singled in the seventh in addition to the game-winning bunt.
Willy Adames hit a tying two-run homer in the ninth before Kansas City recovered for its third win in four games since the All-Star break.
The Royals were up 3-1 entering the ninth after Salvador Perez’s two-run homer and Isaac Collins’ RBI single in the fourth inning.
BREWERS 8, METS 3
MILWAUKEE — Cooper Pratt hit his first major league homer and had his first career three-hit game to help spoil Freddy Peralta’s return to Milwaukee as the Brewers defeated New York.
Joey Ortiz had a three-run homer and Andrew Vaughn launched a two-run shot for the Brewers, who won their fourth straight. Vaughn also doubled.
Milwaukee ace Jacob Misiorowski struck out six and allowed one unearned run while throwing 65 pitches over four innings in his first appearance since July 7. Misiorowski was scratched from a scheduled July 12 start due to arm fatigue, and Brewers manager Pat Murphy spoke before Monday’s game about monitoring the two-time All-Star’s workload.
Peralta (5-9) gave up seven runs over 5 1/3 innings while facing the Brewers for the first time after pitching for them from 2018-25. He received two standing ovations from the Milwaukee crowd — one after a pregame video tribute to him aired on the American Family Field scoreboard and another as he left the game with the Mets trailing 5-1.

PHOENIX — Jeff McNeil drove in the go-ahead runs with a pinch-hit single in the seventh inning and the Athletics beat Arizona.
Athletics rookie Tommy White went 4 for 5 in his third major league game and beat out a comebacker that deflected off Kevin Ginkel (3-3) to load the bases with two outs. McNeil broke a 2-all tie with a two-run single, then wound up on third after he stole second on a wild pitch that allowed White to score for the final margin.
Nolan Arenado doubled with one out in the Arizona fifth for his 2,000th career hit. He became the 298th player to reach the milestone and the 21st third baseman.
A's rookie Joshua Kuroda-Grauer hit his first big league homer — a leadoff shot against rookie Mitch Bratt in the second to put the Athletics ahead — and Jacob Wilson led off the fifth with his sixth homer for a 2-0 lead.
Jorge Barrosa doubled leading off the sixth against Jeffrey Springs, and Ketel Marte followed with his 18th homer — a tying shot into the upper deck in left field.
ANGELS 3, CARDINALS 2
ANAHEIM, Calif. — Vaughn Grissom drove in the tying run with a one-out double in the ninth inning and Jo Adell was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded to give Los Angeles a comeback win over St. Louis.
Nolan Schanuel, batting .367 since June 21, sparked the late rally with a one-out single off All-Star closer Riley O’Brien, who is tied for the National League lead with 25 saves.
Jorge Soler was hit by a pitch and Grissom sent a line drive off the right-field wall that eluded a leaping Jordan Walker. Pinch-runner Oswald Peraza scored from second base and pinch-runner Jose Siri reached third.
Josh Lowe was walked intentionally to load the bases. Adell, who homered in the third inning, took three straight balls from O’Brien (3-4) before getting plunked by the next pitch to force in the winning run.
Angels reliever José Fermin (3-1) struck out two in a scoreless ninth.
MARINERS 8, REDS 0
SEATTLE — Cal Raleigh hit his sixth career grand slam, George Kirby and three relievers combined for a three-hitter and Seattle beat Cincinnati.
The Mariners (51-50) are above .500 for the first time in nearly two weeks and moved a half-game ahead of Texas (50-50) atop the AL West.
In the seventh inning, Reds lefty Caleb Ferguson intentionally walked Dominic Canzone to load the bases for Raleigh, last year’s AL MVP runner-up. On the first pitch of the at-bat, Raleigh turned on a hanging breaking ball, sending it 408 feet into the left-field bleachers to make it 7-0.
It was the 10th home run this season for Raleigh, who is batting .163 after hitting 60 homers in 2025. He also knocked in a run with a groundout in the eighth to finish with five RBIs.
TIGERS 8, CUBS 6
CHICAGO — Spencer Torkelson hit a two-run single in Detroit's three-run 10th inning, and the Tigers topped Chicago for a wild victory.
Dillon Dingler connected for two solo homers as Detroit improved to 12-4 in its last 16 games, continuing its push to stay together ahead of the Aug. 3 trade deadline. Riley Greene also went deep, and Gleyber Torres had two hits and walked twice in his return from an oblique injury.
Kenley Jansen (2-4) got the win and Tyler Holton handled the 10th for his first save this season. Jansen struck out Alex Bregman for the final out of the ninth, leaving the bases loaded.
Trent Thornton (3-3) started the 10th for Chicago, but the right-hander was helped off the field after he was struck on his lower left leg by Greene's 108.9 mph comebacker.
NATIONALS 7, ROCKIES 3
DENVER — Andrés Chaparro, Jacob Young and CJ Abrams homered to lead Washington past Colorado.
Chaparro hit a three-run shot to left-center in the first inning after leadoff batter James Wood walked and Curtis Mead singled. It was his fourth homer of the year.
Willi Castro tied it 3-all with a three-run double in the third, but Young put the Nationals back ahead with a solo drive in the sixth.
Abrams connected for a two-run homer that made it 6-3 in the seventh. Daylen Lile hit an RBI triple in the ninth, scoring Wood.
Young and Mead both finished with three hits.
WHITE SOX 10, RANGERS 3
ARLINGTON, Texas — Andrew Benintendi hit a go-ahead three-run double that chased Texas starter Jacob deGrom in the fifth inning and Chicago beat the Rangers.
Benintendi was hitless in 10 at-bats against deGrom before hitting a two-out, 2-2 pitch to right field to give the AL Central-leading White Sox a 5-2 lead.
Miguel Vargas went 3 for 5 with a pair of RBI doubles to help Chicago (53-46) snap a 10-game losing streak at Globe Life Field and beat Texas (50-50) for just the third time in the last 18 games.
DeGrom (7-6) allowed five runs on seven hits in 4 2/3 innings. The 38-year-old right-hander struck out six, walked two and threw 97 pitches after missing his last start with a hip impingement.
ASTROS 8, MARLINS 5
HOUSTON — Houston shortstop Jeremy Peña returned to the lineup for Monday’s series opener against Miami and hit his second grand slam in the victory.
Peña missed Sunday’s loss to Baltimore after leaving Saturday’s loss to the Orioles in the fourth inning due to a right hamstring cramp.
After flying out to left field in his first at-bat of the game, Peña hit a 1-2 fastball from Janson Junk into the right field stands for his seventh home run of the season.
Monday’s win snapped the Astros' four-game skid. They are three games back of the AL West-leading Texas Rangers and 4 1/2 games back of the Boston Red Sox for the AL’s final wild card.
