After posting a 2.12 ERA for the Toronto Blue Jays in 2023, reliever Jay Jackson has not found the same level of success in 2024.
The Minnesota Twins announced Sunday that they have designated Jackson for assignment and recalled Caleb Boushley from triple-A St. Paul.
Jackson signed a one-year, $1.5 million deal with a team option for 2025 with Minnesota in the off-season after his successful season with the Blue Jays.
However, in 22.1 innings as a Twin, Jackson owns a 6.85 ERA and has allowed runs in 10 of his 17 appearances.
Minnesota has seven days to either trade or place Jackson on unconditional release waivers where he can be claimed by another team.
