For the second-straight game, the Toronto Blue Jays will be without Daulton Varsho.
The Blue Jays outfielder was not named to the starting lineup in the team's series opener against the Boston Red Sox.
Varsho has been day-to-day with left lower-back tightness. The outfielder left Saturday's game against the Cleveland Guardians in the ninth inning as he was unable to run down the line after hitting a ground ball, grabbing his back in pain.
The 27-year-old has been one of Toronto's top contributors this season, leading the team in WAR, home runs and triples, and is tied for team lead in RBI and stolen bases.
Varsho has also been one of the top defenders in baseball, leading all outfielders in defensive runs saved.
The Blue Jays look to get back on track at Fenway Park against the Red Sox. You can catch the game on Sportsnet and Sportsnet+ at 7:10 p.m. ET / 4:10 a.m. PT.
