As Vladimir Guerrero Jr. suits up for Leones del Escogido in the Dominican Winter League, most of the attention has been on his defence as he makes a return to third base.
The Toronto Blue Jays slugger spent the 2020 MLB campaign playing first base, but is trying to make a case for his team to give him another shot at the hot corner next season.
For all of the focus on his defence, Guerrero Jr. brought all eyes back to his bat on Friday, showing off his power and smooth swing by cranking a towering home run to left-centre field.

Guerrero Jr.’s night didn’t end there, as he came back for an encore in the third inning and hit another homer. They were the first two long balls of the Winter Ball campaign for the 21-year-old, who is now hitting .417 with four RBIs in three games.
