The New York Yankees have claimed outfielder Jonathan Davis off waivers from the Toronto Blue Jays, the club announced Tuesday.
The 29-year-old has slashed .143/.282/.200 with one home run and four RBI in 52 games with the Blue Jays this season, his fourth campaign with the club.
The five-foot-eight, 190-pound outfielder has also appeared in three games with the Buffalo Bisons, Toronto’s triple-A affiliate, recording two hits, three walks, one RBI and one stolen base in 10 at-bats.
