Safe to say the New York Yankees and their fans weren't big fans of Josh Naylor 'rocking the baby' celebration after his home run in Game 4 of the ALDS on Sunday in Cleveland.
The New Yorkers let the Cleveland Guardians designated hitter know about it with their words and actions during the Yankees' 5-1 win in the decisive Game 5 of the ALDS on Tuesday at Yankee Stadium.
Yankees fans chanted 'who's your daddy' at the Guardians' Canadian slugger during his at-bats, referencing Naylor referring to New York starter Gerrit Cole as his son while doing his 'rocking the baby' celebration after his home run in Game 4.
Then, when Yankees second baseman Gleyber Torres snagged the ball for the final out, he did the 'rocking the baby' celebration that Naylor has used for much of the year.
Hoch also reported the Yankees organist got creative to welcome Naylor to the Bronx.
Naylor, went 0-for-4 on Tuesday as the Guardians' season came to an end, didn't seem to mind the reception one bit.
The New York Daily News, one of the city's tabloid newspapers, poked fun at Naylor in its front-page headline.
Cole gave a hint of how the Yankees felt about Naylor's celebration after Game 4.
"Yeah. Whatever. It's cute," he said.
