Toronto Blue Jays third baseman Matt Chapman is out of the team’s lineup Tuesday against the Houston Astros and is considered day-to-day after having an ingrown toenail removed Monday night.

After being reinstated from the injured list earlier in the day, Santiago Espinal will play third and bat ninth for the Blue Jays.

Chapman, 30, has played in 60 games this season, slashing .281/.362/.487 with eight home runs and an American League-best 22 doubles.

In Monday’s 11-4 loss to Houston, Chapman went 1-for-3 with a single.
