Toronto Blue Jays centre fielder Kevin Kiermaier left Tuesday’s game against the Kansas City Royals in the sixth inning with left hip flexor discomfort.

Kiermaier was replaced in the lineup by Cavan Biggio and in centre by Daulton Varsho. He was 0-for-2 with a sacrifice bunt in the game before exiting.

The team says the outfielder is still being evaluated and is considered day-to-day.

The 34-year-old’s average dropped to .193 and OPS to .492 through his first two at-bats against Kansas City.
