The Toronto Blue Jays have reinstated right-handed pitcher Ross Stripling from the 10-day injured list and optioned infielder Kevin Smith to Triple-A, the team announced Friday.

Stripling was initially placed on the injured list after suffering an oblique strain vs. the Los Angeles Angels on Aug. 10.
The 31-year-old has posted a 5-6 record with a 4.34 ERA, 1.221 WHIP and 91 strikeouts in 93.1 innings of work this season.
Smith, 25, is the Blue Jays’ No. 23 prospect according to MLB.com. He has recorded one home run and three hits in his first 32 major league at-bats with the Blue Jays this season.
With the Buffalo Bisons, Smith has been one of the team’s most productive hitters, slashing .286/.371/.576 while leading the team with 19 home runs and 63 RBIs.
