Fans criticize Blue Jays for quick pull of Berrios in must-win Game 2

With his team’s season on the line, Jose Berrios was dealing, striking out five batters through three innings as the Toronto Blue Jays faced down elimination in Game 2 against the Minnesota Twins.

But after walking the lead-off hitter in the fourth, Berrios was pulled from a 0-0 game and replaced by left-hander Yusei Kikuchi.

The move was designed to give the Blue Jays an advantage against some left-handed Twins batters, but fans were quick to criticize the move on social media. The criticism only got louder after Kikuchi loaded to bases, opening the door for the Twins to take a 2-0 lead.
