Report: Mets acquire Darin Ruf from Giants for J.D. Davis

The New York Mets have reportedly acquired first baseman Darin Ruf from the San Fransisco Giants in exchange for first baseman J.D. Davis.

Ruf, a designated hitter for the Giants, currently batting .216 with a .373 SLG and .328 OBP, scoring 46 runs this season including 11 home runs in 268 at bats.

Davis is currently batting .238 with a .324 OBP and .359 SLG, similar to what Ruf has done for the Giants, scoring 26 runs in 181 at bats for the Mets.
