It looks like Nelson Cruz is heading back to Minnesota for another year.

The six-time All-Star and the Twins are in agreement on a one-year contract, according to ESPN’s Jeff Passan.

Despite his advanced years, the 40-year-old designated hitter put up 16 home runs, 33 RBI and 1.8 WAR while slashing .303/.397/.595 in 53 games with the Twins last season.

Cruz joined the Twins as a free agent in the 2019 off-season and recorded 41 homers and 108 RBI with a .311/.392/.639 line in 120 games that campaign.

Over the course of his 16-year career with the Twins, Mariners, Orioles, Rangers and Brewers, Cruz has collected 417 home runs and 1152 RBI with a .278 batting average.
